Program Overview

Destination STEM is a nonprofit organization created to provide resources to students of color pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related fields.- Our desire is to help students of color see the possibilities that exist by exposing them to opportunities to learn about STEM related fields- We provide awareness and education programs as well as other resources to students of color pursuing STEM degrees

Leadership

Celeste Warren
Founder

Celeste Warren has over 30 years of professional and executive experience in the areas of change management, diversity, equity, and inclusion across many industries including pharmaceutical industry experience.She has been recognized by many organizations including: Black Enterprise’s “Top Executives in Global Diversity and Inclusion”, Savoy Magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Corporate America” and Diversity Global Magazine’s “Influential Women in Global Diversity”. Her articles on diversity, equity and inclusion have been featured in numerous national and global publications and she has had the opportunity to speak at various events around the world.Celeste has a passion for working with individuals and organizations to ensure a diverse pipeline of talent for roles across the STEM fields.

John Steven Warren, Jr.
& Christina Warren
Co-Founders

Christina Warren is a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School where she excelled in both academics and athletics. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Arizona State University. She achieved academic recognition as a PAC-12 Conference Academic Honor recipient and as a member of the NCAA All-Academic Women’s Track and Field Team.Christina is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society (ΦΒΚ), the oldest & most prestigious academic honor society in the United States. She is currently a graduate student-athlete at the University of Miami where she was All-ACC and NCAA 2nd Team All American. She is pursuing her Masters in Public Health and will then be pursuing a career as a Veterinarian.

John “Steven” Warren, Jr. is a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School where he also excelled in both academics and athletics. He is currently a student athlete at Arcadia University pursuing a degree in Organizational Psychology. He is a 3-year starter of the school’s soccer team. He was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll and the Dean’s List.
Steven is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Recently he spent the spring semester of his Junior year studying abroad with Arcadia’s International Studies Program in London, England.

Michael Wallace
Board Director

Michael Wallace is a Product Marketing Engineer with many years experience working in the telecommunications field. He has worked for several companies including AT&T, Broadcom and Intel.

Cindy Chu
Board Director

Cindy Chu is a Technology Leader with over 17 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. She is currently Corporate Vice President at New York Life. Prior to coming to New York Life, she was at BDP International.

Viviann Schorle
Board Director

Viviann Schorle is a seasoned non-profit professional with 20 years of experience in management, project coordination, grant writing and community engagement. Viviann is currently the Director of Corporate And Foundation Relations at West Chester University Foundation

Michael Howard
Board Director

Michael Howard is a pharmaceutical professional who has spent 40 years in the industry with a broad range of experiences. Originally started his career as an analytical chemist followed by expanding into clinical research, medical affairs, global marketing and scientific/medical communication.
